Since Valentine’s Day weekend is colliding with the Super Bowl, you’ll be bombarded with temptations…

And unfortunately, mounting evidence shows that you’ve got more than calories to worry about.

They’re called Obesogens, a kind of endocrine disruptor that causes uncontrollable weight gain.

You’ve probably seen products now labeled “BPA-Free!” and wondered, what is BPA and why was it a problem?

Well, BPA is  just one example of an Endocrine Disruptor that’s recently been banned in the U.S. due to the discovery of just how poisonous it is…

What is an Endocrine Disruptor?

Natural and man-made chemicals that interfere with our endocrine systems (the part of our bodies that control our metabolism, growth, and development) are called endocrine disruptors, a relatively new discovery within the scientific community.

And, it’s been found that obesogens and other types of endocrine disruptors are running rampant within our foods, personal care products, and the containers we use to store them both.

Where Are Obesogens Hiding?

Obesogens are added to foods in the forms of:

  • Artificial Sweeteners
  • Preservatives
  • Pesticides
  • Added Sugars (High-Fructose Corn Syrup)
  • Phytoestrogens

Obesogens are commonly found in these products:

  • Dish Soap
  • Dishwasher Detergent
  • Rinse Aids
  • Low-Grade Plastic Containers
  • Body Wash
  • Lotion
  • Cosmetics
  • Hair Care Products

What Do Obesogens Do?

Obesogens are considered to be a major cause of obesity in America. Yes, fast food companies and sugar-laden foods are to blame too.

However, new studies are finding that obesity rates in children 2 and younger are on the rise, indicating that more than just an imbalance of diet and exercise is to blame.

The problem lies in the exposure to obesogens!

Well before each child is born, they receive nutrients from their mother. The babies use those nutrients to grow into a fully formed person.

Unfortunately, babies exposed to obesogens will produce more fat cells than necessary, likely leading to developing obesity, cancer, diabetes, and other metabolic disorders.

Exposure to obesogens in the womb and  excessively during adolescence causes these health complications to become part of the exposed person’s family’s lineage from that point on. It’s a trait that will become irreversible!

This means that once you’re exposed during the time frame of conception to puberty, you’ll be at an increased risk of developing obesity (as well as other metabolic disorders) that will be helplessly passed down to your future generations long after that exposure ends.

Avoid obesogens at all costs if you want to prevent:

  • Obesity
  • Diabetes
  • Infertility
  • Cancer

Where Are Obesogens Hiding?

Identifying the presence of obesogens can be daunting, especially in America where the majority of these toxic chemicals are still legally allowed to be added to our daily lives without warning.

Avoiding these toxic chemicals while continuing to purchase your normal products will prove nearly impossible. The majority of name-brand products contain parabens, phthalates, triclosan, perchlorate, BPA, & other obesogens.

How To Avoid Obesogens

With obesogens hiding in everything from the care products we use, food we eat, what we clean those foods with, what they’re stored in, and what those containers are cleaned with, it seems like a lot to manage, right?

Luckily, there are brands out there that are well-versed in excluding toxic obesogens as well as all other endocrine disrupting chemicals, operating right here in the USA!

There’s one brand that stands out from the crowd….

  1. This post is awful. So much fat phobia in this! Health and weight are not correlated. I just found this company and I am liking the products, but if this is the kind of message that you are sharing – that being obese is bad – then I don’t know if I want to be a customer.

    1. Being obese IS bad! I was obese, thank God I came to my senses, lost the weight and have kept it off, it’s been 10 years, and I’m off the 16 prescriptions I was on, too. Being obese is only ok once you realize it’s time to change. If you’re complacent with being obese, you’re only fooling yourself.
