Do your carpets constantly take a beating? Maybe your dog or cat had an accident…again. Perhaps it’s just another day of kids (including your spouse) romping through the house, sloshing their juice, dinner, or whatever snack they snuck from the kitchen onto your carpets.

Whether it’s time to clean up after your family again or time for spring cleaning. (most of us get the cleaning bug this time of year.)

There’s something invigorating about the weather finally starting to warm up!  We’re tired of cold, dark days and feeling cooped up. Now that we are starting to get some warmer days here and there, we want to open up the windows, enjoy the fresh spring air, and CLEAN!

Why Clean Your Carpets Now?

With that fresh air coming in, the curtains are probably drawn, shedding bright daylight into your home.

You’ve probably noticed immediately the effect of hibernating inside all winter. It’s time to do what needs to be done and the first thing you notice is how gross the carpets and rugs are! What are you to do?

While some stains can be cleaned by hand, some need carpet/upholstery cleaner that’s way too toxic to use around pets and kids. Regardless of how you clean, this brings you to a new problem:

What Do You Use To Clean Up The Stains?

A quick trip to the store or to the internet will show you endless options when it comes to cleaning your carpets. You’re sure to find everything from toxic sludge in a can, questionable pink goo in a tub, to carcinogenic powder in a jar.

And to make matters worse, each option is more expensive than the last. (Who wants to pay more for toxic products?!)

Many carpet cleaners contain synthetic fragrances, perchloroethylene, and napthalene. Side effects from those chemicals can cause nausea, dizziness, fatigue, and are toxic to the central nervous system and organs.

Risks of Using Toxic Cleaners On Carpets:
  • Toxic to your family and pets
  • Can cause illness/nervous system damage
  • They can stay in the carpet and be absorbed by your feet/pet’s paws, when walking on them.
  • Are smelly and can irritate your lungs, especially if you have asthma

If you stumble upon the all natural options, it’s hard to decipher which is worth the risk of trying. Everything from pouring apple cider vinegar to shaving cream on the stains makes it hard to tell which will work and which will just make more of a mess to clean!

Risks of Using Non-Toxic Cleaners On Carpets
  • They may take more human effort to clean effectively
  • They may not be guaranteed to work

You want an all-natural, non-toxic solution that doesn’t require hours of scrubbing. You want products that are guaranteed to work for you to dissolve stains and erase stubborn messes. And luckily, you’ve found your answer!

  1. My carpet is already filled with coffee stains, and that is why I’ve decided to start looking for a cleaning service. Well, I also agree with you that non-toxic materials must be used. Thank you for sharing that the carpet must be diluted with water.
