Spring has sprung! Cue baseball, soccer, track, and just plain ol’ playing in the yard!

Why are grass stains so hard to remove? 

Remember learning about Chlorophyll in Science class? If not, it’s the green pigment from plants that absorbs sunlight and makes the green parts so pretty! That’s great for the plant, but not your clothes!  Grass stains also contain proteins, and are usually mixed with other stains like sweat and dirt.

The combination of Chlorophyll and those proteins is what makes it so hard to remove the stains. 

What do you need to remove grass stains?

• Enzymes to help break down and dissolve organic matter 
• Oxygenation (bubbles) help lift the stain and remove the other stubborn ones (such as dirt and sweat) that are mixed in.

What can you use to remove those grass stains without harming your family?

Here are 3 Non-Toxic Grass Stain Removal Remedies that you can make at home:

RECIPE #1

• TrulyFree Enzyme Stain Remover Powder
• Truly Free Laundry Wash (Scented or Unscented)
• Toothbrush or Rag

INSTRUCTIONS:

• Mix 1-2 itty bitty scoops of Enzyme Stain Remover powder with Laundry Wash until it forms a paste
• Apply paste to the stained area 
• GENTLY scrub area with rag or toothbrush
• Let sit 30 minutes and then rinse
• Wash as usual with Laundry wash

Tip: If desired, you can still add 1-2 itty bitty scoops of Enzyme Stain Remover Powder to the drum before washing.

RECIPE #2

What you’ll need:

• TrulyFree Odor and Stain Eliminator Spray
• Truly Free Enzyme Stain Remover Powder
• Truly Free Laundry Wash (Scented or Unscented)

INSTRUCTIONS:

• Spray stained area thoroughly,until wet/damp with Odor and Stain Eliminator.
• Let sit several hours, saturating again when dry or saturate significantly and let sit overnight 
• Add 1-2 itty bitty scoops of Enzyme Stain Remover to the drum of your machine
• Add clothes and wash as usual with your TrulyFree Laundry Wash

Tip: If desired, you can still add 1-2 itty bitty scoops of Enzyme Stain Remover Powder to the drum before washing.

RECIPE #3 (The SUPER Paste!)

• 1 Scoop TrulyFree Oxyboost
• 1-2 itty bitty scoopsTrulyFree Enzyme Stain Remover Powder
• TrulyFree Odor and Stain Eliminator Spray
• TrulyFree Laundry Wash (Scented or Unscented)
• Toothbrush or Rag

INSTRUCTIONS:

• Mix Oxyboost and Enzyme Stain Remover with enough Odor and Stain Eliminator to make a paste
• Apply the paste to the stained area 
• GENTLY scrub area with an Eco Cloth, rag, or toothbrush
• Let sit 30 minutes and then rinse
• Wash as usual with Laundry Wash in hot/very warm water

Tip: If desired, you can still add 1-2 itty bitty scoops of Enzyme Stain Remover Powder and 1 scoop of Oxyboost to the drum before washing.
